Marty got home Friday, June 13th. It was great!
There was a big welcome when he got home. Lanier Stevens was there
with a group singing "The Eyes of Texas" when Marty got out of the ambulance.
Marty is continuing to improve. He is still slow moving around, but at least he and Karey are home. Marty has all the tubes out and his incision is healing well. I haven't posted anything new because I was hoping he would be writing to you all. When he is up and around more, I am turning this over to him. Thank you again for your prayers. I am now referring to Marty as "Miracle on Madison Street" !!!! Love to you all!!! <><*^^*http://www.blogger.com/profile/06821488780065125874noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164798656671729336.post-16259567014778163832008-06-07T05:49:00.000-07:002008-06-07T06:02:51.184-07:00Bethany, Calvin and I got home last night from San Diego.
We hated to leave Marty, Karey and Mom, but they
are doing great. I couldn't believe how far Marty has
come since I last saw him. He was sitting up and
talking when we saw him. He is getting up and walking
on a walker. They are all so ready to come home. We
thought they would be coming home Monday, but it
may be a little longer. Marty is complaining about the
food they are feeding him, so we know he is better.
The Lord has brought him so far. Thank you for
your prayers. That is what has healed him. We have
prayed specifically for each stumbling block and God
has been faithful to each and every prayer. Please
continue to pray for Karey and Mom. They are
hanging in there and really being strong. This has
been tough on them. They are being so strong. It
is amazing how they have held up. I told Marty how
everyone is praying for him. Bless you all!!*^^*http://www.blogger.com/profile/06821488780065125874noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164798656671729336.post-40163620811206535212008-05-22T09:25:00.000-07:002008-05-22T09:39:54.771-07:00Marty was moved to an acute care center yesterday.
It is called Promise and it has an affiliate in Houston.
The doctor wants his to stay there about 2 weeks.
He doesn't want Marty coming home until he can
walk on the airplane. Marty stays pretty much out of it because of the
pain, so even though he is off the respirator, he doesn't
communicate much. There are many hurdles up ahead,
but God will get us through them. Thank you for your
prayers. The doctor said his infection was "a little better".
Praise the Lord! He will go through another one today. This is to clean out the debris
in his abdomen. It leaves Marty really tired and wiped out. Each little step is a blessing,
but he still has a long way to go. We don't know what the time frame is. He is still not
out of the woods, but God is in control.

Our prayer today:
The infection will be even more in control. I pray that God will
take it completely away. I know He hears my prayers.*^^*http://www.blogger.com/profile/06821488780065125874noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164798656671729336.post-11987469195917596952008-04-25T07:06:00.000-07:002008-04-25T10:06:51.178-07:00Friday, April 25

Today I want to give praise to the Lord for all the miracles
He has done for Marty. The Lord has provided Karey
and Barbara with an apartment 4 miles from the hospital. It is
fully furnished. Marty is off the ventilator and breathing on his
own.
